Edgar Izurieta

Bio:

Hometown: I was born and raised in Newark, NJ.  This is where I found my calling to work in non- profit accounting.  The feeling of waking up in the morning, and contributing to the greater good of society through my work is very rewarding.

What Inspires Me: People wanting to do better.  I love learning from family, friends and coworkers.  I enjoy tying my passion for numbers and accounting into helping people become a better versions of themselves.

Greatest Experiences: Being a part of a movement in Newark, NJ my hometown and contributing to a nonprofit called Newark Now.  The non-profit was a multi social service agency where we moved the needle on social issues for the betterment of under serviced communities in the city of Newark.

Guiltiest Pleasures: I enjoy all types of comfort street food.  When in Philly of course the Cheese Steak, when in Jersey a Taylor Ham and cheese on Everything Bagel, When in NYC Hot dogs, when in Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, etc.

Area of Specialization: Non-profit accounting including budgets, financial reports, grant reports and management. I strive to achieve a high standard of reporting, so that West Sound Treatment Center receives the best financial data in order to make decisions for the organization.
