My name is Rene Sperry. I am an SUDP and the Clinical Supervisor for the Poulsbo Office. I was employed at West Sound Treatment Center in 2018 but left for a probation position. After leaving that position in February of 2021, I returned to WSTC. I came back because I believe that the most important work of recovery from substance abuse is in the beginning, during treatment.
I graduated from Skagit Valley College in 2006 with a degree in Human Services and Chemical Dependency. I have worked in Detox, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient. I have also worked in the Therapeutic Community Program in the prison system. Through the grace of a personal recovery journey, I have found a career that gives back to those who are seeking help. I can imagine no better life than helping someone with a substance use disorder.
