My name is Shannon Cantrell. I have been with West Sound Treatment Center since June of 2017 working as a Substance Use Disorder Professional. I hold an Associates Degrees in Chemical Dependency from Olympic College. I took over the role as the Drug Court Coordinator in September of 2019 and have been able to serve and advocate for WSTC clients going through the Adult Drug Court Program through Kitsap County Superior Court. “It is refreshing to work with a team that believes in communication and coordinated care and who also works with other agencies to provide supportive services to our clients.” As a person in long-term recovery, I am heavily involved in the recovery community and believe that I too need to maintain my sobriety by staying involved and dedicated to my recovery. I believe that “It’s a beautiful day to save lives.” (quoted from my favorite show, Grey’s Anatomy). I enjoy time with my children and acrylic painting in my free time. I also donate artwork for auctions to raise funds for a 12 Step Program as my way of giving back.
