My name is Shannon Cantrell. I have been with West Sound Treatment Center since June of 2017 working as a Substance Use Disorder Professional. I hold an Associates Degrees in Chemical Dependency from Olympic College. As of March 2021 I am the Clinical Supervisor for the Bremerton Office. I took over the role as the Drug Court Coordinator in September of 2019, and maintain that position as well. I have been able to serve and advocate for WSTC clients going through the Adult Drug Court Program through Kitsap County Superior Court. “It is refreshing to work with a team that believes in communication and coordinated care and who also works with other agencies to provide supportive services to our clients.” As a person in long-term recovery, I am heavily involved in the recovery community and believe that I too need to maintain my sobriety by staying involved and dedicated to my recovery. I believe that “It’s a beautiful day to save lives.” (quoted from my favorite show, Grey’s Anatomy). I enjoy time with my children and acrylic painting in my free time. I also donate artwork for auctions to raise funds for a 12 Step Program as my way of giving back.
