Hi, my name is Tammy Light. I am a Substance Use Disorder Professional and I hold the title of Clinical Supervisor at our Poulsbo office. I’ve been working in the addiction recovery and mental health field since 2017 and have been an advocate for substance use recovery, mental health access, and prison reform for over a decade.
I earned both my Bachelor’s in Addiction Studies and my Master’s in Advanced Addiction Therapies from Eastern Washington University. I’m currently in graduate school pursuing my Master’s in Social Work with a certificate in Criminal Sentencing Advocacy.
My work is rooted in compassion, integrity, and a trauma-informed mindset. I believe in meeting people where they are and supporting them with evidence-based, client-centered care. I often integrate approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based practices to support lasting recovery and emotional healing.
One quote that inspires me in this work is:
“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” – C.S. Lewis
In my spare time, I love spending time with my dogs, exploring thrift shops for hidden treasures, and giving back to my community through advocacy and volunteer work.
