
Tracey Thompson is a senior leader for a large library system with over 16 years of experience in strategic planning, creating partnerships, and fiscal management. Her focus on analyzing customer needs and identifying strategies and opportunities enables libraries to connect communities with need library resources. She recognizes that the strength for any organization are the staff. She is motivated to help remove barriers for staff, so that they can concentrate on providing quality service and quality care to our community.
Before finding a home in libraries, Tracey worked in several different fields including programming and insurance. As a military spouse, she has lived all over including Germany, Turkey, and several different states before settling in Washington.
As with are many librarians, Tracey is life-long reader with the groaning books cases to prove it. She is the mother of three adult children and two feisty dogs who are in an endless battle with the neighborhood squirrels, and one cat who plans on conquering the world – right after his nap.
