Annette Johnson is the Navigator for WSTC’s New Start program. She provides case management for program participants, meeting with them in the jail, arranging with community partners to meet their needs after release, and ensuring that they have transportation when they need it, as well.
The goal of this program is to help individuals who are being released from incarceration to transition back into the community successfully. This might involve helping a participant to enroll in treatment for a substance use disorder at an inpatient or outpatient facility, or it might mean helping them to find housing and apply for resources.
